COVID-19  Vaccine Information

Read the website information and make a booking for the vaccine if you are in the eligible 1a and 1b groups and are ready to proceed to a vaccination , are a regular patient of ours and have no allergies to anything at all.

On the website, click the Book COVID-19 Vaccine Appointment Button and read the instructions.  This booking system holds the vaccine stock for you. No phone bookings will be taken. They must be done online. An SMS reminder will go out for you to book within 48 hrs when vaccine arrives and a reminder will be sent for you to book your second dose due 12 weeks later. These vax appointments are for people ready to go. Come dressed so your left upper arm is easily exposed for the vaccine to be given (right upper arm if left handed).

Vaccine is expected by mid April and we have 50 per week and currently have 140 patients on waitlist

If you need an earlier appt you can visit Healthdirect website to find other locations. Please cancel any appt with us if you are not coming so we don’t waste any vaccine doses as they last 6 hrs only.

People with allergies need to go to a respiratory centre for their vaccine

There will be small time for discussions on the day. You will need to wait at least 15 mins on site after the vaccine is given and another 15 mins at a nearby coffee shop/park across the road. If you have questions or concerns and would like more information before booking a vaccine appointment ,please book an appointment  with your Doctor. These are Bulk Bill appointments if you have a Medicare card and have been seen in the last 12 months and as long as no other issues discussed at the same
time. If you have a history of cancer, bleeding disorder, are immunosuppressed you need advice letter from your specialist re timing of your vaccine in relation to your treatment.. Over age 70 yrs should especially see their Dr for discussion and approval to proceed .

In the meantime everyone should get their my gov account and link their Medicare account and My Health Record so you can access your vaccination records afterwards for travel purposes.
